The 804-last shoe trees were bought for Bonafè Cary Grant ankle boots lasted on the 062, a last for which Bonafè apparently doesn’t make a model-specific last. They are of solid wood construction, exceedingly well made, and fit perfectly. Sturdy construction, surely, will impart durability without unwanted weight.
I’ve purchased a number of pairs of Bonafè shoes from Mehra, both RTW and MTO, and each has been spot-on in quality and fit. Gaurav, always responsive and knowledgeable, has been indispensable in assuring that each pair of shoes was delivered as desired, and fit well.
There are too few shoe retailers remaining from which service at this level of excellence still is offered.
